Chopper's Stop

I found this lying somewhere in my closet; lonely, dejected and neglected. The poor thing hadn't been worn in what seemed like ages. Without sounding too mean, let me say that I always felt that short tube dresses, when not worn appropriately, can look a tad too tacky. And whenever I put this dress on, something in the back of my head always kept screaming 'tacky! tacky!tacky!'. I wonder why.

Within seconds I deconstructed it. There was no turning back now. I had to either come up with something or watch it go to waste. The lower half could easily be made into a skirt. all I needed was an elastic band. But the upper half, looked nothing more than a bra, and, well, I still haven't reached that level in my mindspace where I can confidently strut around in public in a bra.

Luckily there was an old vest lying around.

A bra top? Cringe. But a crop top? Yeah, I can do crop tops. Thus the fate of the bra top was decided, thanks to the old vest lying around, not to mention some tiresome needlework as well.

Resulting in a matching top-skirt combo of sorts.

Now this I am not too afraid of wearing in public.
Okay maybe with a wrap or a denim shirt over it.
